MAY HE REST IN PEACE
Thomas Joseph Louwagie was born on March 3, 1943, in Marshall, MN, to Oscar and Mary (Van Uden) Louwagie. He grew up on the family farm near Green Valley where he farmed with his family. In 1986, he moved to Marshall. Tom worked at SEI and he later worked at Hy-Vee for 17 years. He enjoyed this job and made many friends with his co-workers and customers.
Tom loved people and was very friendly. He was a faithful Parishioner at St. Clotilde Catholic Church and listened to the radio rosary daily. He enjoyed word search puzzles, pin bowling and following the Minnesota Twins. He also enjoyed selling raffle tickets, especially for the church. Tom was especially fond of family gatherings and time spent with his nieces and nephews. He always had his camera and very much enjoyed taking photos.
After his mother Mary died, Tom moved to Boulder Estates. For the last four years, he was living at Prairie View Senior Living in Tracy. He died on Thursday, April 30, 2026, at the Prairie Home Hospice McLaughlin House in Marshall.
