Theresa Ellen (Kosse) Buyck, age 97 of Tracy, passed away Tuesday, September 10, 2024 at Lockwood Hospice House in Marshall.
Theresa Ellen (Kosse) Buyck was born May 20, 1927 to Anthony and Mary (McCoy) Kosse in Shetek Township, MN. She was baptized and confirmed at St. Mary Catholic Church in Tracy and received her education at Walnut Grove Country School. On November 24, 1948, Theresa was united in marriage to Charles “Bud” Buyck at St. Mary Church. They had 62 happy years together. Theresa worked several years as a St. Mary’s hot lunch cook assistant and was an active CCW member. She had vegetable and flower gardens and large strawberry and raspberry patches. Theresa put up lots of preserves and created wonderful meals and baked goods. Her homemade bread and buns were the best! Playing cards and working puzzles were pastimes that Theresa enjoyed. She had a talent for sewing and embroidery, especially dish towels. Theresa was a loving wife and mother. Her greatest joy was being with her family.
Theresa is survived by her children: Colleen (Bill) Baxter of Loveland, CO, Joellen Rountree of Boulder, CO, Steven (Carol) Buyck of Garvin, Adele (Jim) Abrahamson of St. Charles, IL & Marietta (Bo) Reagan of Fort Collins, CO; grandchildren: Vincent Baxter, Charles “Chip” (Viv) Rountree, Peter Rountree, James (Cortney) Reagan, Taylor (Eric) Meadows, Jeffrey (Jenna) Buyck & Matthew (Emily) Abrahamson; great-grandchildren: Euan Baxter, Boone & Chanta Rountree, Elizabeth, Clara, Evelyn & William Buyck, Leif & Nels Abrahamson, Preston, Eli & Sterling Meadows; sister: Dianne Annibal of Marshall; sister-in-law Betty Kosse of Belle Plaine; and many other relatives and friends. She is preceded in death by her parents, husband Bud, siblings: LaVonne (Arnold) Henning, Doris (Dale) Scott & Robert “Bob” Kosse, parents-in-law Camiel & Augusta Buyck, and siblings-in-law Marie (Bob) Albertson, Melvin (Maxine) Buyck, Eugene “Jiggs” (Betty) Buyck, Donna (Hank) Thieren & Bob Annibal.
