Marian Clara Naab

IN LOVING MEMORY OF

Marian Clara Naab

JULY 11, 1931 – SEPTEMBER 12, 2024

MARSHALL, MN

MAY SHE REST IN PEACE

Marian Clara Timm was born July 11, 1931, to George and Alma (Fiene) Timm, at their home near Wood Lake, MN. She was baptized and confirmed at St. Luke’s Lutheran Church, in Posen Township. Marian attended Posen Parochial School and Wood Lake High School.

On September 12, 1948, Marian was united in marriage to Harlan Naab at St. Luke’s Lutheran Church. They lived and worked, side by side, on the same farm for 65 years. Gardening and raising flowers were two of her favorite pastimes and she loved sharing the fruits of her labor with others.

Marian enjoyed helping with various activities at her church, such as teaching Sunday School, serving as a member of the Ladies Aid, and singing in the church choir for more than 70 years! She spent many years visiting shut-ins and sharing the Gospel with others. She also belonged to a neighborhood Birthday Club that got together monthly and they enjoyed a lifetime of friendship.

Her greatest love, however, was her family. Marian cherished the time she spent with her children, grandchildren and great-grandchildren. Playing games was a highlight at almost every family gathering. She loved to host and make sure everyone had plenty to eat. Fun times were shared together at the cabin on Lake Amelia. The one thing everyone remembers, is that Marian loved to hold hands as a way of showing her affection.

Harlan and Marian put their trust in the Lord and were forever grateful for all the blessings bestowed upon them. Marian peacefully went to her Heavenly home on September 12, 2024, which would have been their 76th wedding anniversary.

Marian is survived by her children Charlene (Nick) Kissner of Wood Lake; Jolene Busiahn of Marshall; Becky (Kevin) Pogreba of Lincoln, NE; grandchildren Heather (Allen) Paves of Edmond, WA; Tracey Kissner (James Logan) of Alexandria; Amber (Adam) Yee of Fort Colllins, CO; Bailey Kissner of Alexandria; Jacob (Jill) Busiahn of Duluth; Megan (Drew) Hansen of Anoka; Max Pogrebe of Phoenix, AZ; and Addie Pogreba of Lincoln, NE; great-grandchildren Eva Paves, Charlotte Blake, Edison and Mabel Yee, Owen Busiahn and Austin Hansen; and sisters-in-law Ruth Timm and Marjean Naab and several nieces and nephews.

She was preceded in death by her husband, Harlan; son, Curtis; parents, George and Alma Timm; brothers Edgar, Gordon, and Leroy, sisters Bernice Bode, Violet Timm (in infancy), Delores Carey, and Donna Helgeson.

Blessed be her memory.
