Alan Ralph Perry, age 65, of Marshall, Minnesota, died Friday, March 28, 2025, at Lockwood House in Marshall, Minnesota.

Alan was born July 24, 1959, in Montevideo, Minnesota, the son of Ralph and Delores (Wilson) Perry. He was baptized September 6, 1959, at First Congregational Church in Appleton, Minnesota. He was also confirmed at First Congregational Church in July, 1974. Alan grew up in the Correll area, attending elementary school at Correll Elementary. He graduated from Appleton High School with the class of 1977.

Alan loved helping his dad with the cattle and farming. After high school he worked various construction jobs and eventually started his own construction business. Alan endured some mental health setbacks but worked through them the best he could. He worked at Advanced Opportunities in Marshall, Minnesota, for several years.

In 1980, Alan was blessed with a son, Christopher. He was a proud father and loved taking Chris hunting and fishing. The most precious things in his life were his two grandsons Brody and Briggs. He looked forward to their visits and phone calls.

Alan loved being outdoors where he spent time fishing, hunting, trapping, and riding motorcycle. He was always behind the wheel of a nice 70s sports car. Alan was a member of First Congregational Church of Appleton, Minnesota.

Alan is survived by his son Christopher (Laura) Perry of Appleton, MN; grandsons Brody Perry and Briggs Perry; siblings Mark (Ann) Perry of Correll, MN, and Koni (Andre) Thomas of Bloomington, MN; and niece Alyssa Grech of Oshawa, Ontario, Canada. He was preceded in death by his parents Ralph and Delores Perry, sister Joni Lynn, grandparents Louis and Anna Perry, and George and Emma Wilson, and numerous aunts and uncles.
