PRESS RELEASE: 2021 Annual Charity Event and Auction

The Annual Prairie Home Hospice and Community Care’s Charity Event & Auction has been a premier charity event in Lyon County for 35 years. This year’s 35th annual event will take place on August 6th at the Red Baron Arena & Expo and will be, once again, Sponsored by Lockwood Motors. This year’s theme is “Pay It Forward”. “Prairie Home really wanted to focus on service centered items to put on the auction this year, in a way that pays service, talents, and skills forward to our community.  There was no better year to focus on what service can do if we give back, after going through a year like last year,” says PHH Marketing and Development Director Tara Plante.

The night will begin with the social hour from 5-7pm, as guests browse the hundreds of auction items on display. At 6:45pm the Hitching Post will start to serve up their fantastic, staple menu items.  Deb Herrmann and Kelly Brunsvold, PHH Board Members and five-year co-chairs of the event committee, emphasize that “We are so looking forward to getting everyone back together safely at the Red Baron Arena to celebrate and Pay It Forward by supporting healthcare, this community, our business partners, and our patients and families throughout the years.”

The silent and live auctions will include several great get-away packages, including a handful of great vacation destination options, sports memorabilia, fun group trips, date night and family fun items. . . You’ll want to come prepared to bid on your favorite packages! There will be plenty to choose from.
